What is the evidence base?

The South Essex Plan covers a range of complex issues. To address these appropriate evidence needs to be collected. A number of Studies have therefore been commissioned to inform the Plan. These complement previous work undertaken at a South Essex level solely to inform Local Plans, such as the Playing Pitch Strategy. Further research is ongoing, e.g. on Employment Land Availability, or planned, which will be published when completed. The evidence base will also inform individual Local Plans.
